CONVIVIUM
MUSICUM CHEMNICENSE |

The so called group of musicians headed by Hans-Hermann Schmidt deal with the research of music-historic trails in the region of the Ore Mountains in Saxony since the early 1980s. The revision of the musical heritage of the 17th and 18th century is the very focus of interest of the group. Beside the performance-related preparation of the archive material the ensemble devotes to the sounding care of these discovered works. This chamber music ensemble appear before the public in chamber concerts in collaboration with different church choirs at church musical events. The convivium musicum chemnicense impart a piece of cultural history
of a german musical landscape with their countless concerts as well as
with the arrangements of the annual summer parties of the Chemnitz historical
society.
